We serve real-time and retrospective observation data (both in-situ and remote-sensing) and models in five different regions in the Pacific Ocean. All the data served in this website are archived locally in JPL. The realtime data and model were acquired via automatic ftp from the data sources and the images were generated on-the-fly. Some derived products, such as the Pacific Ocean blended wind, are produced at JPL.

All the data products are stored in plain file format except for the CIMT Sealion dataset which is stored in the database. The meta-information of all the data products are stored in a mySQL database. The database is updated in realtime when a new dataset arrives. All the data product pages in this website are dynamically constructed based on the content in the database and all the data retrieval requests are converted into database queries and handled by the webserver.
